Credit(s): 3

Basic numerical and computational techniques used in solution of physical problems in the real world; approximation of functions, numerical differentiation and integration, and machine computation. This course is intended to be a mathematical introduction to the theory and practical use of certain basic numerical methods that often arise in applications. This course will address the storage and display of data.
