SPE 517 - Communication Skills for Visual Impairment

Students are taught to transcribe and read contracted literary Braille and Nemeth code. They also are taught to use the slate and stylus. The course culminates with the administration of the Braille Proficiency Test, which the student must complete in order to receive permission to take TExES Braille exam (TExES 183). Course fee $294.
