AVSC 1200 - Private Pilot Ground I

Private Pilot Ground I is part one of two parts covering those Federal Aviation Administration requirements for the aeronautical knowledge outlined in 14CFR §61, 14CFR §141 and FAA Airman Certification Standards. Private Pilot Ground I will develop the student’s knowledge on federal aviation regulations, airplanes and aerodynamics, airplane instruments, engines, systems, airplane performance, and weight and balance calculations. This course also will introduce the new student pilot to airports, air traffic control and the national airspace system. The knowledge and skills acquired in Private Pilot Ground I will develop the student’s ability to safely perform the private pilot initial solo. This course is a prerequisite for Private Pilot Ground 2.
