A study of research methodologies, practical inquiry and action research related to educational leadership in the K-12 school setting with focus on the improvement of practice and completion of the research-based action plan is covered. The research-based action plan is a culminating activity that encompasses most of the semester and draws on skills and mindsets acquired in prior courses. For candidates in the athletic director concentration program only: The research-based action plan project will serve in lieu of a capstone portfolio or comprehensive exam or master’s degree thesis.
