AGED 4353 - Current Issues in Agricultural Education

This course will explore current issues in agricultural education as related to state and federal policies, educational law, purposes of agricultural education, program components, industry certifications, school finance, school safety, and trends in career and technical education. The course also will explain Texas teacher certification requirements and licensing, the role of the Texas Education Agency, structure of the organizations involved in agricultural education in Texas, and agricultural education teachers, as well as responsibilities and professionalism.
