SPHS 5354 - Clinical Practicum in Speech-Language Pathology: Seminar in Clinical Management

This course is a clinical practicum with a focus on clinical management across a variety of disorders. Simulated clinical case studies across disorders are explored. Students will interpret clinical information in the development and implementation of assessment and treatment procedures. In addition, a thorough review of procedures and expectations for the PRAXIS exam is provided. Students will obtain a minimum of 75 direct clinical hours at a university approved practicum facility under the direct supervision of an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. The duration of the practicum experience will extend the duration of the semester registered for the course.This course is a clinical practicum with a focus on clinical management across a variety of disorders.
