Human Sciences, Major

The Master of Science with a major in human sciences is designed for the student who:

  • plans to complete academic requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics and/or
  • wants to advance professionally in the other graduate content areas.

Coursework is selected with and approved by a faculty advisor.

Required Courses


Twenty-one to twenty-four credit hours of coursework from the following prefixes:

  • HDFS
  • HUSC
  • INDS
  • NUTR

Support Areas


Three to six credit hours of coursework from the following prefixes:

  • PADM
  • FORS
  • SOCI
  • KINE

Graduate Electives


Nine hours electives, per advisor approval.

Total hours: 36
