BIO 528 - Advanced Virology

Credit(s): 4

Advanced study of viruses in a laboratory setting. Covers viral structure, genome organization, replication strategies and medical implications of infections. Laboratory includes bacteriophages, animal and plant viral propagation, basic tissue culture, PCR for viral detection and fluorescent and electron microscopy for viral identification.
Course Fee: Course Fee $20.
