NURS 5221 - Advanced Practice Roles Credit(s): 2
This course provides students with the knowledge of advanced-practice nursing roles in the United States and internationally. It includes a history of nurse practitioner role development, ongoing topics relevant to APN nursing and issues related to health promotion and prevention worldwide. Students will analyze competencies, rules and APN regulation, professional responsibilities and health policy as they relate to APN practice. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the DeWitt School of Nursing graduate program
