NURS 4233 - Nursing Capstone Credit(s): 2
This course builds upon previous, concurrent and prerequisite courses.This practicum provides students with the opportunity to apply critical thinking, nursing theory, research and practice to clinical decision making with clients of diverse spiritual, ethnocultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. It is designed to evaluate and strengthen student readiness to practice as an entry-level nurse. Emphasis is placed on meeting client and family needs, providing holistic nursing care across the life span and the nurse’s role in addressing associate legal, ethical and economic issues in conjunction with the interdisciplinary health care team. Prerequisite Course(s): NURS 4606/NURS 4006, NURS 4407/NURS 4007, NURS 4208/NURS 4008 Co-requisite Course(s): NURS 4330, NURS 4331, NURS 4031, NURS 4432, NURS 4032
