This course builds upon a prerequisite knowledge base from core curriculum and concurrent nursing courses. The emphasis of this course is to discuss and apply concepts such as nursing history, theory and philosophy, legal/ethical issues in practice, professional roles, use of evidence-based practice, professional writing, academic success, and the use of medical terminology.
