This course builds upon a prerequisite knowledge base from core curriculum, previous, and concurrent nursing courses. Students integrate nursing concepts related to health promotion and illness prevention in community populations based on the determinants of health. This course emphasizes collaboration with community members and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to promote awareness and health needs of communities. Students will analyze the distribution of healthcare resources, practice professional communication, and implement holistic nursing care to diverse members of the community.
