ERTH 1303 - Earth Science

Introduction to the detailed study of Earth science, including minerals, rocks and resources; the unifying theory of plate tectonics; and the processes that modify and shape the surface features of the Earth, from mountain building processes to the chemical reactions that bind and breakdown Earth materials. Natural hazards such as earthquakes and volcanoes will also be discussed to show the importance of these topics to society. Co-requisite ERTH 1103.
