Objectives of the Department

The Department of Mass Communication offers graduate work and research opportunities for qualified students to prepare them for careers in the existing and emerging media industry and/or to prepare students to pursue studies toward a doctorate. Depending upon courses selected, the M.A. in mass communication will prepare students for careers in the fields of advertising and public relations, journalism and broadcasting in the 21st century.
