Mission
The College of Liberal and Applied Arts is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in teaching, scholarship, creative work and service. The schools, divisions, departments and programs of the college prepare students for their future endeavors in the global community and encourage lifelong intellectual and aesthetic enrichment.
Graduate Programs
The College of Liberal and Applied Arts offers graduate degrees in the following areas: English, Hispanic studies, history, interdisciplinary studies, mass communication, national security studies, psychology, public administration, publishing, social work and teaching social sciences. Graduate minors are available in many of these same fields as well as in geography and sociology. Increasingly, more courses are taught online to accommodate busy schedules.
Admission
In addition to the application materials required by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, certain programs in the College of Liberal and Applied Arts may require additional application information. Check the admission requirements for the specific degree for which you have an interest to help ensure that all essential materials are properly submitted.
