Objectives

Objectives of the department include:

  1. the preparation of special education teachers for elementary and secondary schools
  2. the preparation of professionals for careers in rehabilitation, orientation and mobility, and related human services occupations serving the general population and people with disabilities and communication disorders
  3. and providing graduate education in nationally accredited programs in counseling, special education, speech and language pathology, and school psychology.
