Objectives
Objectives of the department include:
- the preparation of special education teachers for elementary and secondary schools
- the preparation of professionals for careers in rehabilitation, orientation and mobility, and related human services occupations serving the general population and people with disabilities and communication disorders
- and providing graduate education in nationally accredited programs in counseling, special education, speech and language pathology, and school psychology.
