Teaching College Psychology Certificate

The online Graduate Certificate in Teaching College Psychology is designed to expose students to some of the main subfields in psychology as well as train students to teach undergraduate psychology courses at community colleges and/or dual credit courses. The curriculum may be of interest to individuals who want to increase their marketability by becoming SACS-qualified to teach psychology courses in community colleges and/or dual credit courses.

All students in the program will take 15 hours of coursework in psychology subfields that are commonly taught at community colleges as well as receive mentorship and training in teaching the subfields. Students will also take the three hour Teaching Seminar as a capstone course in order to develop innovative and effective teaching skills based on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research.
