The Superintendent’s Certificate is offered in a non-degree program and requires 15 semester hours of coursework. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in education and successfully passed the principal state examination or have TEA-approved management experience in a public school prior to admission to the superintendent program.
Superintendent Admission Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- a master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- mid-management or principal certification or TEA approval
- and two years of teaching experience.
