Available to students who complete 15 hours (five courses) of graduate-level courses in resource interpretation and achieve an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 for the 15 credit hours. All of the courses eligible for the certificate program are taught as online, distance education courses (a few also are taught face-to-face to students in residence on campus). Each student must work directly with an assigned M.S. in resource communication advisor to select a series of courses that will fit the needs of each student.

Students should apply to the graduate office for post-baccalaureate status. Upon successful completion of 15 graduate credit hours (five courses) in resource communications, these students will automatically be awarded the Certificate of Resource Communications. Students that select this route may transfer up to 15 credit hours with a grade of B or better earned under post- baccalaureate status to an ATCOFA graduate degree program should they reapply and are accepted.
