Sociology Minor

The department does not offer a graduate degree in sociology, anthropology or geography. A graduate minor in sociology or geography consists of a minimum of nine semester hours of courses in the discipline. Fewer than nine semester hours are regarded as electives.

The department cooperates with other departments to offer a graduate certificate in sustainability. This certificate requires one of the following courses (INDS 5308  or SOCW 5332 ) and three of the following courses (FORS 5342 , GEOG 5304 , INDS 5308  if not used above, PADM 5330  or SOCW 5332  if not used above).

The department also participates in the M.I.S. program, the M.S. in resource communication program in forestry, and the M.S. in human sciences program.
