Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts

The purpose of the Certificate in Theatrical Costuming is to allow students to specialize in studies related only to clothing design and production as it relates to theatre, opera, film and television. The certificate will be specifically for students who do not wish to complete a four-year degree but may choose to complete one after completing the certificate. It also will be of special interest to those students in a four-year program, such as fashion merchandising and cinematography, who wish to pursue work in a costume field.

The certificate is not intended for current theatre majors but may be achieved post-baccalaureate. This course of study would be beneficial to high school teachers trained in areas other than theatre costuming who work with drama clubs and UIL.
