Petroleum Land Management Certificate

The courses required for the Petroleum Land Management Certificate are ACCT 1301  or ACCT 2301 , BLAW 3366  and BLAW 4368 , and BUSI 4300 , BUSI 4375  or BUSI 4385 . General business majors who wish to earn the certificate may select the required courses as part of their major and complete the PLM certificate without taking any additional coursework. GEOL 1303  and GEOL 1304  are suggested as the required science courses and suggested electives include GEOL 3350 , FORS 2323  and GISC 2324 . Students pursuing the general business minor can concurrently earn the PLM certificate by taking one additional course: suggested electives include those previously mentioned as well as FINC 3333  and BUSI 4340 . A student who is pursuing or has previously earned a bachelor’s degree in any field may take the required courses and earn this certificate.
