Requirements

A graduate major in physics must complete a thesis program that includes 18 to 36 graduate hours and must include:

PHYS 5312 - Atomic Structure Credit(s): 3
PHYS 5320 - Classical Mechanics Credit(s): 3
PHYS 5332 - Electricity and Magnetism II Credit(s): 3
PHYS 5351 - Quantum Mechanics II Credit(s): 3
and
PHYS 5311 - Nuclear Physics Credit(s): 3
or
PHYS 5334 - Solid State Physics Credit(s): 3
