Course sequence of 53 semester hours SOCW, with at least 9 hours of Practice Methods (SOCW 3333, 3350, 4350) courses and 15 hours of Field Practicum (SOCW 2389, 4670, 4680) courses at SFA. Advanced
A minimum of 33 advanced semester hours ( SOCW courses numbered 3000-4000), at least 30 hours of which must be in residence. General Electives

In each first-year English course; a C average in all coursework at SFA; a grade of C or better in all professional (SOCW) social work courses. Writing requirement:
All students completing a degree program in the College of Liberal and Applied Arts must meet the standards for writing in the discipline set by their major. Students should see their departmental advisor for those standards. Double-dipping rule:
Double-dipping is using the same course to fulfill two different requirements in a degree plan. Courses can be double-dipped between the core or foundation of knowledge courses with major or minor courses. Double-dipping cannot occur between major courses and minor courses. Anything beyond this must be approved by the associate dean. |
