The minor in Professional Writing and Strategic Technologies is designed to equip students with advanced writing skills and technological literacy. This program prepares students for careers that rely on professional and technical writing across various industries. Courses from other departments with appropriate focus on professional writing, editing or layout may be included in the six hours of electives with the approval of the department chair. The course not taken for the Writing Option may be selected as an elective. Students should be aware that these courses may have prerequisites that are not part of the minor.
