Humanities Minor

Studying the humanities encourages critical thinking about the human experience and our intellectual and artistic traditions. This transfer-friendly minor allows students to explore the humanities and the appreciation of the arts through a wide variety of courses. Students must complete a minimum of nine advanced hours and a minimum of six hours at SFA. This minor can be used as an area in the general studies degree.

Transfer courses with IDST prefixes may be allowed with approval of the CLAA Dean’s office. Eighteen hours required, a minimum of 9 hours (3000-4000) advanced, 6 hours (3000-4000) advanced in residence from the following prefixes: ENGL PHIL HIST MEHU RELS HUMA ARTS DANC DRAM LING MUSI MUTC MUMH MUAP MUEN The following courses are excluded from the minor: (ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, HIST 1301, HIST 1302) |
