Core Geology Courses (34 hours)

Note:
A minimum grade of C is required in all geology courses numbered 200 or higher to receive the B.S. in geology. Students must complete CHE 133 and CHE 134 ; PHY 131 and PHY 132 or BIO 131 and 133 ; and MTH 220 and MTH 233 with all co-requisite courses before they can register for GOL 338 , GOL 364 , GOL 408 , GOL 420 and GOL 443 .
Students at SFA plan their minor program in consultation with a geology advisor. Suggested minors are chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, business, computer science, geographic information systems and geography.
Second Major Programs
The courses in geology required by the major in environmental sciences with environmental geology option (Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture ) or the major in geography with geology minor make it possible for the interested student to complete a second major in geology during the normal four-year period for the bachelor’s degree. Contact the Department of Geology for advising.
