Women’s and Gender Studies Certificate

Women’s and gender studies recognizes gender as a primary category that organizes and directs our lives. By combining courses across disciplines, the certificate will expose students to a variety of perspectives and research methods. It permits students to develop their own interests as they analyze and deepen their understanding of gender in their everyday lives and in the world. The program of study will enhance students’ sense of personal identity and their competence in any occupation. Courses will give students from diverse backgrounds and professions the opportunity to share and compare perspectives and practical impacts of considering how gender comprises their professional and everyday lives.
