HSPN 5385 - Seminar in Latin American and Peninsular Poetry Credit(s): 3
This course studies a variety of topics, including poetry and rhetoric, the study of different periods and schools of poetry, analysis of specific authors and motifs, relations between poetry and culture, gender and cultural studies. Course meets once a week for 150 minutes for 15 weeks. Its activities include lectures, discussions of films and reading assignments, student research presentations, and exams. Student deliverables include annotated bibliographies, essays, class presentations and term papers. These activities require, on average, six to 10 hours of work outside of the classroom. May be repeated with different topic. Repeated: No Prerequisite Course(s): Graduate standing
