ORMO 4393 - Low Vision

This course provides a foundation of knowledge and skills related to low vision that are necessary to developing the competencies needed when working directly with people who have low vision. Course topics include the historical development of the field and study of low vision, effects of low vision on performance, adaptations to improve visual efficiency, the social/emotional impact of having low vision, assessment and intervention strategies for persons with low vision, as well as providing resources and assistance to families, teachers and other parties connected to persons who have low vision.
