Forestry, Spatial Science, M.S.


The M.S. with a concentration in spatial science thesis program is offered to provide a master’s degree that will allow a student to become proficient in applying geographic information systems, remote sensing and spatial statistics to quantify, qualify, map, monitor and manage natural and cultural resources. The M.S. in spatial science requires a minimum of 24 semester hours (eight courses) of graduate coursework and six semester hours of GIS 590  Thesis for a total of 30 semester hours. A minimum of 12 semester hours (four courses) of graduate coursework must be spatial science courses (GIS prefix).
