Deaf and Hard of Hearing Minor

A deaf and hard of hearing minor can be acquired by taking the following courses:

• DFHH 3350 - Audiology for Educators of the Deaf
• DFHH 2304 - Manual Communication Interned
• DFHH 2303 - Deaf Culture
• DFHH 3370 - Language and Literacy for the Deaf
• SGNL 2301 - American Sign Language III
• SGNL 2302 - American Sign Language IV

  Twenty-five hours of observation in deaf education settings may be substituted for DFHH 3370 .

Observation hours must be divided as follows:

• 10 hours at the elementary level
• 10 hours at the secondary level
• and five hours at any level.

Observation hours must be appropriately documented using an observation log provided by the deaf and hard-of-hearing program.
