The graduate program in professional school counseling is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to be a professional counselor. Students take core courses in counseling and specialty courses in school counseling. Students complete internships at school counseling sites and meet the education requirements to become certified school counselors in Texas. They also meet the education requirements to become a licensed professional counselor in Texas.
