Technical Direction Minor

The minor in technical direction allows students to specialize in studies related only to the profession and duties of a technical director and the production process as it relates to theatre, opera, film and television. The minor will be of special interest to those students in a four-year program such as theatre or education.

The minor is intended for students who want to pursue professional employment as a technical director or education students who want to become a technical theatre teacher. This course of study would be beneficial to high school teachers trained in areas other than theatre who work with drama clubs and UIL.
