CSDS 2330 - Anatomy and Physiology of Speech Credit(s): 3
An introduction to anatomy and physiology of the speech mechanism, including the nervous, respiratory, phonatory, articulatory/resonance, and auditory/vestibular subsystems in relation to speech and swallowing functions. Emphasizes will be placed on clinically relevant information and how it relates to pathologies commonly treated by speech-language pathologists. Prior acceptance into the undergraduate communication sciences and disorders program is required for enrollment in this course.
