BIOL 1306 - Biology for Science Majors I Credit(s): 3
This is an introductory cell biology course. Topics include the structure of the cell and cell components, both eukaryotic and prokaryotic. The processes of DNA replication and gene expression, including protein processing and routing, will be covered. Photosynthesis, respiration and chemotrophy as means of energy production are studied, in addition to the cell cycle and its regulation. Repeated: No Prerequisite Course(s): Successful completion of CHEM 1311 and CHEM 1111 recommended prior to enrolling in this course. Non-Course Prerequisite(s): Students must be TSI complete Co-requisite Course(s): BIOL 1106 - General Biology I for science majors lab
